Gabrielle Union and Muze Hair Cosmetics presented The Beauty Suite during NBA All Star Weekend

Actress Gabrielle Union and Muze Hair Cosmetics did it big this year for NBA All Star Weekend in Los Angeles —taking over The Warren Tricomi Salon and transforming it into The Beauty Suite an intimate refuge for celebrities and wives of NBA All Star players to come and be pampered—and escape the fray going on this busy weekend.

For the biggest weekend in basketball, celebrities go all out to ensure they look fabulous from head to toe. Guests of this exclusive invitation only event were served a light fare brunch and cocktails while shopping for the latest trends in accessories in addition to receiving complimentary beauty services from the most highly sought after celebrity beauty experts in Hollywood as they prepared to attend the NBA All Star Game. For pre-game prep, it takes a multi-talented group of hairstylists, makeup artists and lash experts to curate the glamorous end result we see front row.

Keith Campbell Pre-Grammy Beauty Lounge and Book Signing hosted by Nicole Ari Parker and Melanie Fiona

One of the best places to be primped and pampered for the pre-parties and red carpets during Grammy Week was at Salon 180 for Celebrity Hairstylist Keith Campbell’s pre-Grammy Beauty Lounge. Hosted by Nicole Ari Parker and Melanie Fiona, the event was also a celebration of his newly released book entitled “Cuts for Our Infirmities,” which is a compilation of short antidotes that make up Keith’s inspirational book embodies his “Decide to be Beautiful” campaign. Keith has worked with such stars as Iman, Rihanna, Keri Hilson, Chrisette Michele, and Tracee Ellis Ross to name a few.

Our friends over at Break Management and JMC-Janice McCafferty Communications were handling appointments for celebrities and press at the event. Guests of the invite only event enjoyed cocktails, light fare and complimentary last minute beauty touch-ups before hitting the party circuit.

I headed over to the makeup station to meet with celebrity makeup artist Robert Moran. Robert recently launched his own line RM Cosmetics---available at Salon 180 (of course!).

Then it was on to meet manicurist Denise (she only goes by one name--think Cher, MadonnaJ) where I was introduced to this new nail art that is all the rage, China Glaze Crackle Glaze. I loved it so much, I got two colors Crushed Candy and (teal crackle) and Broken Hearted (pink crackle).
